“Sure God created man before woman, but then again you always make a rough draft before creating the final masterpiece”.

Women on a higher authority or with power to rule men were considered a taboo in the olden days. Today’s women have lot of opportunity to grow and show their talent compared to what it was a few decades ago.

Being the only girl in the family, luckily I got a lot of support from my parents. They are the ones who stood by me when I faced the worst days in my life & met with an accident. After this incident, I learnt that whatever your dreams are, fight for them against all odds. Don't ever give up.

To achieve what I have and what will always be my constant endeavor, these are the simple rules or should I say "mantras" to be ahead of the game:

Superior Work Ethics
Research shows that, intelligence alone is not sufficient to bring about success. Fortune Magazine wrote that nobody is great without work, no matter how talented they are. As Edison so eloquently put it, “Success is 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration.” I believe that all hard workers with outstanding work habits, who did not hesitate to put in long hours, sacrifice personal needs, and, in the process, became trailblazers.

Strong Mentors
I could not have achieved all of the success on my own - I did have strong mentors by my side, people I have admired and learned from. They not only encouraged me when I needed support, but they also gave me candid and timely feedback. They were my soundboard, friends, teacher and more. But most importantly, they were there for me when I needed them most.

Define Business Goals
Each and every project is different. To succeed, your team needs to have the skills and capabilities that support the overarching goals of your project. While you may be tempted to use the same people you've relied on in the past, the reality is that it may not be the most efficient use of their individual and collective skills. Create a needs map to make sure that you don't overlook any critical areas.

Assess Team Progress and Adjust Along the Way.
A simple way to put it is "Stay committed to your decisions, but stay flexible in your approach." There are subtleties that you cannot foresee as you embark on a project. Don't be so focused on your pursuit of creating a great team that you forget to assess where that team is in relation to the overall business goals. Don't be afraid to move people around in order to stay on track. As the needs of the project change, so should your team.
Honestly being calm when there is crises always help, like never panic when there is a problem. Take a step back and ask yourself what you need to do to take care of it. Then do it.

And finally, although leadership in any domain does not come easily, it can be a very rewarding and enriching life experience, especially when it leads not only to self-development but also to developing others. As Rosalynn Carter said, “A great leader takes people where they don’t necessarily want to go but ought to be.”
